GötaFilm has a long experience of international collaborations and a track record of high quality productions, including award winning and commercially successful films and TV-series. Some years ago we decided to start a subsidary, GötaFilm International, to be able to focus even more on the international projects and to expand our production services. Since then we have co-produced with countries like Norway, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, UK, Germany, France, Holland, Hungary and Italy.

We have long-term relationships with a number of companies in Sweden; studios, rental houses and postproduction services. Due to our long experience we also have a substantial network of freelance professionals all over the country.
GötaFilm International can also support in finding Swedish financing and distribution.

GötaFilm has, since many years, a good relationship with Film i Väst, the West Swedish regional film fund located in Trollhättan. Film i Väst has contributed to the growth of the industry, the education of film workers, and the development of new talent in the region and is today one of the most significant regional film funds in Europe and one of the most significant sources of funding for films in Sweden. We are looking for projects that…

has a clear profile and edge; has an international director connected to the film, i.e. the director has had some success or attention at major festivals and/or commercial success; has a leading producer with an international track record and with experience from international co-productions; has reasonable estimates that in the end makes it most likely for the financiers to recoup their investments.
